Data Management
As one of the key functions and benefits of a Network is the sharing of data among researchers, it is critical that the data are both of comparable quality, and accessible. Thus, beyond the administrative management of the network, there is, in addition, a need to manage the gathering of data to maximize the benefit of the network approach. The objectives of data management component are:
- To ensure that each laboratory conducts their analyses with the appropriate internal checks and balances, i.e. QA/QC, and to validate this process externally;
- To enable the sharing of data within and beyond the network, so that studies can be combined and meta analyses of data carried out.
